Every piece is packed by hand in the studio. Originals and prints ship separately, because they are made and dispatched in different places.
Original work
Originals are dispatched within five working days of your order clearing. Each one is wrapped in glassine so nothing touches the paint surface, protected at the corners, and boxed rigid. Every parcel is tracked and insured to its full value.
Shipping is charged by the size of the packed box rather than the artwork, and is shown at checkout before you pay:
- Small — works on paper, sent flat. $12
- Medium — boxed canvas or panel up to around 24 inches. $22
- Large — up to around 40 inches, rigid picture box. $38
- Oversize — over 40 inches, crated. $95
Framing is available on request. Ask before you order, as it changes both the price and the box size.
Prints
Prints are made to order by a printing partner and ship directly from them, usually within two to seven working days. Shipping is quoted at checkout. If you order a print and an original together they will arrive as two parcels, on different days.
Returns
If an original is not right for your space, return it unmarked and in its original packing within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the piece. Return shipping is yours, and I would ask you to insure it, because the same risks apply on the way back.
Prints are made individually for each order and cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or flawed.
Commissions are not returnable. That is why commissions run through sketches and check-ins before anything is committed to canvas.
If something arrives damaged
Photograph the outer box before you open it fully, then the piece itself, and email both within 48 hours. Those photographs are what makes a carrier claim succeed, and I cannot replace or refund a damaged piece without them.
International orders
Original artwork is usually treated favourably at customs, but any duty or import tax is the buyer’s responsibility and is not included in the shipping charged here.
