Sundae Sounds Right is a small independent art studio based in Florida. This policy explains what information this website collects when you browse, buy or get in touch, what it is used for, and who else sees it. If anything here is unclear, email sundaesoundsright@gmail.com.
What is collected
- When you buy something: your name, email address, billing and shipping address, and your phone number if you choose to give it. The order itself is kept too: what you bought, what you paid and where it was sent.
- When you send a message through the contact form: your name, email address, the subject you choose, the piece you are asking about if any, and what you write.
- When you visit: like every website, the server and its security service see your IP address and basic browser information. The shop also notes how you arrived, for example from Instagram or a search, so the studio can tell which places bring buyers.
Card details are never seen or stored by this website. You enter them directly with Stripe, the payment processor, on the checkout page.
How it is used
Only to run the shop: to take payment, pack and ship your order, send you order and shipping updates, answer your messages, handle returns, keep the records the law requires, and keep the site secure. You will not be added to any mailing list.
Who else sees it
Only the services needed to complete an order or run the site, and only the part each one needs:
- Stripe processes your payment and receives your card and billing details.
- Shipping: labels are bought through WooCommerce Shipping, and the carrier (such as USPS or UPS) receives your name and shipping address so it can deliver the parcel.
- Printing partner: if a print is made and shipped by a printing partner rather than by the studio, that partner receives your name and shipping address for that print only.
- Email delivery: order and shipping emails are sent through an email delivery service, which receives your email address and the content of those emails.
- Hosting and security: the site’s web host stores the site and its records, and Cloudflare protects the site from attacks, which means it handles your visit’s traffic.
Your information is never sold, rented or shared for advertising. It may be disclosed if the law requires it.
Cookies and browser storage
This site uses a small number of cookies, all of them needed for the shop to work or to keep it secure:
- Cart and session: remember what is in your cart while you shop.
- Last page visited: lets “continue shopping” take you back to the page you were browsing. It expires after a day.
- How you arrived: records the site or link that brought you here, which is attached to your order if you buy.
- Payment and security: Stripe and Cloudflare set their own cookies to prevent fraud and block attacks.
If you switch between the light and dark versions of the site, that choice is saved in your own browser and never sent anywhere. There is no advertising, no analytics service and no cross-site tracking.
How long it is kept
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Messages sent through the contact form are kept while the conversation is useful and deleted afterwards.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, apart from order records that must be kept for tax purposes. Email sundaesoundsright@gmail.com and you will get a reply within 30 days.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, payments are handled entirely by Stripe, and access to order records is limited to the studio. No system is perfectly secure, but your information is treated with care.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If the way the shop handles information changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
